Car Insurance HUMMER (Car Insurance). if i jump on an airplane would i still be land on the same spot or i will end up on a tail of an airplane?if i jump on an airplane would i still be land on the same spot or i will end up on a tail of an airplane? You will land in the same spot You'll land on the same spot. If you fell out you'd end up on the same spot 33000ft below the airplane. it depends on how fast the plane is going but as long as the plane IS in motion than you will move. You will land in the same spot. The answer depends on whether or not you are inside the plane or outside the plane and if the plane is flying or not. It's the same sort of question concerning jumping up while in a falling elevator. That is why jet fighters have ejection seats - so the pilot will clear the vertical stabilizer when leaving the cockpit. Same spot but be careful of falling down you might die You end up in the same spot for the same reason that a fly in an airplane doesn't get smooshed against the rear bulkhead. You will move ever so slightly. See Einstein's Theory of Relativity. He did a thought experiment like this with a train as the moving medium. The air in the plane is traveling at the same speed as the aircraft so you would land exactly where you jumped from. You will stay in the same place. A combo of newtons first law, inertia, and acceleration. If the plane is accelerating, you will go back some, but not to back of the plane. If the plane is maintaining its speed, you'll land on the same spot. If you were outside of a plane while flying and jumped, you'll be lucky to land on the tail of the plane due to air resistance. Inside a plane, you're protected from the fast-moving air. Auto parts : Torx Bit Acura 1995 . Torx Bit Set Alfa Romeo 1996 . Torx Screwdriver Audi 1997 . Torx Socket BMW 1998 . What can a hole in my car's catalytic converter do? I had it serviced a few weeks ago and the mechanic told me it had a hole in the catalytic converter which is where these loud noises were coming from and that it would need changing in a few months. The car seemed to drive fine until today, where I noticed that the accelerator was really stiff and I need to really push it down just to get to 10mph in traffic and when I would take my foot off the accelerator the car wouldn't gently roll to a stop, but would instead stop suddenly as if I had hit the brakes. I also noticed that the car is revving in neutral. Is this related to the catalytic converter or is it another problem? It's a 2001 Ford Escape 2.0 petrol and I only bought it a month ago so I don't know if this is normal for SUVs :/ car insurance. Auto parts : Tow Rope Dodge 2005. Tow Strap Eagle 2006. HUMMER . Electric Brake TroubleshootingElectric brakes are used in trailers. As with any other piece of equipment, they can malfunction and require repair. Brake problems for trailers may stem from a number of issues. Types of Problems One problem you may experience is insufficient braking power. This may include the absence of any braking at all. There might also be strange noises emanating from the brakes. You may also experience a sense of drag. Causes For braking issues, you must determine if the electrical circuit is short or closed, if all the wiring is sound and if the magnets and resistors are functioning. There may also be a problem with the controller. You must check the flanges, springs and brake linings if the brakes are locking up. For instances of noisy brakes, examine the adjustment of the brakes, the linings and the bearings as well. Considerations A trailer's brakes may be affected by the load you place on the trailer. Attention is required to ensure that you are not exceeding the load-bearing capacity of your trailer. If you experience problems with brakes, you should avoid using the trailer until all issues are resolved.
HUMMER . How to Solve Electrical Car ProblemsElectrical car problems can be costly and troublesome to fix. Common issues like dead car batteries and faulty fuses are caused by conditions such as cold weather and limited car usage. A trip to the mechanic can usually take care of these issues. Many problems can be solved, however, without spending much money and using a few tools available at your neighborhood auto store. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Voltmeter Battery post brushSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Check your fuse panel if any specific part, such as your lights, stops working. Read the owner's manual to find the panel's location and the specific fuse. Remove it using a fuse puller and replace it if the strand of metal in the middle is broken. Look for a replacement fuse with an identical amp rating to the original. 2 Inspect your car battery's terminals if it has run out of power. Make sure the terminals are tight and clear of corrosion. You can identify corrosion as white, ashy deposits around the posts. Clean any corroded areas using battery post brushes. Check the battery with a voltmeter if it is clean but inoperable. Turn off the engine before using the meter. If it reads 10 to 12 volts, the battery does not need to be replaced. Replace the battery if the readings are lower. 3 Look at your alternator if a new battery cannot maintain a charge, your headlights constantly dim or the car stalls at stoplights. These things are all indications of a failing alternator. Use your voltmeter to check the alternator's positive and negative terminals while the engine is running. Anything from 12.8 to 14.7 volts is normal. Check voltage at the alternator's output terminals if it falls below this range. Replace the alternator if you receive low voltage readings. *Staler drive Crankshaft flywheel Figure 5-4: Anatomy of a starter. If you keep the key in the "Start" position after the engine starts running, you'll hear a strange noise. That noise is the clutch in the starter drive that allows the engine to spin faster than the starter. Even though this one-way clutch prevents starter damage once the engine starts, it's not a good idea to hold the key in the "Start" position once the engine is under its own power. Try not to keep the starter engaged this way for longer than ten seconds at a time. If the vehicle doesn't start, allow the starter to cool down for one to two minutes before attempting to start it again. Failure to do so can overheat the starter and damage it. And don't turn the key to the "Start"position when the engine is running. If you do, you can damage the gear on the starter and the ring gear on the flywheel. Part II: What Makes It Go? The Charging System After you start your engine, it (usually) runs at a nice steady rumble. This is possible because as soon as the pistons in the cylinders start to go up and down, your car begins to run on its usual diet of fuel and air (read all about it in Chapter 6). When you let go of the key and your ignition switch moves from "Start" to "On," the electric current stops flowing to the starter but continues to flow through the charging system and the rest of the electrical system. (See Figure 5-5.) Ignition switch Alternator 265

The alternator The running engine drives a belt that enables your alternator (or generator) to produce electric current for the rest of the trip. Here's how it does this: Your alternator (see Figures 5-5 and 5-6) replaces the electricity that was taken from the battery when you started the car. Then, every time your battery sends out some of its "juice," the alternator replaces it. The basic difference between an alternator and a generator is that alternators appear on newer cars and produce alternating current (AC), which is internally converted to the direct current needed to drive various gadgets. Generators are usually found on cars built before 1964. They simply generate direct current (DC) and pass it on. But to keep things simple, I'm just going to call the gadget an alternator, because no matter which you have on your vehicle, it does the same thing in the long run. HUMMER . Many newer cars have a voltmeter, which indicates system voltage. With the engine running and all accessories off, the system voltage should be 13.5 to 14.5 volts. If not, something may be wrong with the charging system. The alternator also supplies your electrical system with current to run the car radio, headlights, and so on. I get to those at the end of this chapter. The Vohaqe regulator The voltage regulator (see Figure 5-7) is a device that controls the alternator. On older cars, it's mounted somewhere under the hood. On newer cars, it may be mounted inside the alternator or inside the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). The PCM is a computer that controls the operation of the fuel, ignition, and emission-control systems on newer cars. If the voltage regulator fails, the alternator is powerless.
